Symplectic Duality of Symmetric Spaces

Let (M, 0) ⊂ C be a complex n -dimensional Hermitian symmetric space endowed with the hyperbolic form ωB . Denote by (M ∗, ω∗ B ) the compact dual of (M,ωB) , where ω ∗ B is the Fubini–Study form on M∗ . Our first result is Theorem 1.1 where, with the aid of the theory of Jordan triple systems, we construct an explicit diffeomorphism ΨM : M → R = C ⊂ M∗ satisfying Ψ∗ M (ω0) = ωB and Ψ ∗ M (ω∗ B...

Global Character Formulae for Compact Lie Groups

We introduce the concept of a modulator, which leads to a family of character formulae, each generalizing the Kirillov formula. For a suitable choice of modulator, this enables one to understand the Plancherel measure of a compact Lie group as arising from a partition of the identity on the dual of its Lie algebra.

On Contact and Symplectic Lie Algeroids

In this paper, we will study compatible triples on Lie algebroids. Using a suitable decomposition for a Lie algebroid, we construct an integrable generalized distribution on the base manifold. As a result, the symplectic form on the Lie algebroid induces a symplectic form on each integral submanifold of the distribution. The induced Poisson structure on the base manifold can be represented by m...

CHARACTER FORMULAE FOR ORTHO-SYMPLECTIC LIE SUPERALGEBRAS osp(n|2)

The character formula of any finite dimensional irreducible module Lλ for Lie superalgebra osp(n|2) is computed. As a by-product, the decomposition of tensor module Lλ ⊗ C n|2, where Cn|2 is the natural representation, is obtained.
